what is 814 VOLLEYBALL SCHOOL?
The first ever year-round school in the 814 for the fastest growing team sport in the world, and the fastest growing boys sport in America!
Girls and boys, from 4th grade to college, will learn the technical skills needed to get a jump on the next level of competition with coaching from experienced volleyball coach and player Kenny Dodson. Not to mention, it will be fun!
Does your school have a team for you? If not, no problem! Train with 814 and use your learned skills to play club ball in the area with your new friends.
We are not a club program however. We are a skills school. We don't field teams; we build the players who dominate them. Having specialized courses, capped at 14 students per session, 814 keeps players from being 'just a number' and gives them the detailed attention they deserve.
By utilizing professional frame-by-frame video analysis, Kenny will provide the older athletes with a visual breakdown of their mechanics, identifying errors that the naked eye misses while monitoring progress.
MEET OUR COACH
Coach Kenny Dodson
An accomplished player and coach, Kenny believes that "volleyball is life" and brings that with him every time he steps on the court. He stands at only 5'8," but he never let his size stop him from being able to play against the best competition! His specialty is teaching technical details, but he always keeps things positive while doing it.
CURRENT SCHEDULE
Summer wrapped up in a very successful way. Almost 100 different players came through our doors from June-August! I saw lots of improvement in that time and many parents expressed interest in continuing to attend sessions even though girls season is in full swing. To accommodate them, the schedule has changed for the "fall sessions." That is, now through the end of October. Please remember that booking is WEEK to WEEK and payment is PER SESSION.
Here is the schedule for this time period:
Fridays - 6:30-8:00 PM - Experienced 4th-6th
8:00-9:00 PM - Personal Session (currently taken)
Saturdays - 9:00-10:30 AM - High School - GIRLS
10:30 AM-Noon - Middle School / Junior High
Noon-1:30 - Varsity High School - BOYS
Sundays - 12:00-1:00 PM - Personal Session (currently taken)
1:00-2:00 PM - Setter Only Session (NEW)
2:00-3:30 PM - High School - GIRLS
3:30-4:30 PM - Personal Session (open)
Mondays - 6:00-7:30 PM - Experienced 4th-6th
7:30-9:00 PM - J.V. High School - BOYS
The booking schedule has been updated on the website, so booking for these can begin any time for those that already have a site account.
We do not currently have a slot for 'No Experience All Ages' since we didn't have that many attend those this summer. However, if interested, let me know and if we have enough interest to support those sessions, then I can possibly add it on.
Additionally, if anyone is interested in personal sessions, please reach out.
I ran a few over the summer and they went very well. I didn't advertise it then, but I'll consider adding some slots where I can. The pricing for those is currently
$55 PER SESSION for one person, $70 PER SESSION for 2 players, and
$105 PER SESSION for 3 players (all totals are combined).
These sessions are 1 hour long.
